These guys are much bigger then hatchlings which are only around 2 ½ inches. 
Because of their age and size these animals are a safer bet over a hatchling. 

Bright eyed alert, active and eating. 

Sex is determined by years of experience looking at the physical differences.

High Contrast Cuban Iguana (Cyclura nubila nubila) CB 2015. 
These animals are an unusual deviation from the typical looking Cuban iguanas. 

How the High Contras line got started. 
I had a male which was almost black without strips. I also had a very dark female.
I decided to put them together. I didn’t think much of it but was surprise to see the hatchlings had a more contrasting pattern then typical Cuban Iguanas.
Probably the result of the male being almost black.

I can Probe for sex.

One picture is comparing a high contrast hatchling to a normal Cuban hatchling (they are both Cubans). 
The high contrast is on the right. 

Look at the stripping and vivid colors of the high contrasting hatchling. 

The adult male is striking very black (I actually thought about calling them Black Iguanas) the parents are very tame. One of the longest lived Cyclura Iguanas these are heavy big bodied animals. 

In my opinion Cuban Iguanas are inherently the tamest of the Cyclura Iguanas. One of my Favorite with Dark Browns and Grays on their bodied and Striped with Black Chevrons and Black feet. This black pair are darker than typical Cubans with more contrasting. 

These are full breed Cuban Iguanas just a more contrasting verity. 

An unusual looking Cuban, Great genetics line. 
No disappointments here. 

If you looking for something different but love Cubans this may be an interesting animal.

2015 Hatchling Female - Cyclura Lewisi High Quality CB (Florida Sales Only)

2015 Hatchling - Humphrey Cuban Iguana, Cyclura Nubila Nubila CB

 

The Parents (Humphrey and Little Humphrey are big beautiful full bred Cuban iguanas.  These animals are big and impressive and very tame, I purchased them out of the original breeding stock from Life Fellowship in the Mid-Eighties. Life Fellowship collected the parents in the early seventies. Humphrey is 49 inches long and weighs 20 pounds, the pair is 25 years old they are very tame and always have been.  One of the longest lived Iguanas (60 to 80 years) these are heavy big bodied animals. In my opinion Cuban Iguanas are inherently the tamest of the Cyclura Iguanas.

 

One of my Favorite with Dark Browns and Grays on their bodies. They have Black Chevron Stripes, Black feet and an Orange underbelly. They can be differentiated from Cayman Bracs by their color and the shape of their head, which is rounder then the Brac. These are not some mixed up crossed breeds being tossed around. Pink Rhino Iguanas are a locality of Green Iguana (iguana Iguana) that originates from Union Island in the Caribbean.  They develop into very high spiked, pink hued, but over all WHITE Iguanas with bold black banding.  These are very impressive iguanas.
