What are Ivory Sulcata Tortoises   Ivory Sulcats are a genetic color morph of the normal looking parents.Sulcats tortoise that are Ivory  or what we call Visual animals have very pure looking sweet yellow color they also have Ruby Red Eyes  It requires two genes to be a "Visual animal", visual animals display the yellow coloration of the shell and the Ruby Red eyes. Het stands for Heterozygous, which means the animals have one of the two genes necessary to be visual (show the Ivory Colors). When an animal is a Het it looks normal (not like an Ivory animal) The offspring of two mated Het animals will produce visual Ivory animals. For African Sulcate tortoise can be either Normal, Het for Ivory or Visual IvoryNormal Sulcatas have no recessive gene for Ivory and all their babies will all be normal Het for Ivory animals have one gene for normal and one gene for Ivory and they look like a normal animal. (but they carry the gene needed to make visual hatchlings) Visual Ivory Tortoise have both genes for Ivory Visual refers to the High Yellow shell color you see, they also have Ruby Red eyes. If you cross a Het Ivory with another Het for Ivory you will get 25% Visual Ivorys . The other 75% of the clutch is said to be 66% for Het Ivory  Which means they all look normal, some are Hets and some are normal and carry no Albino genes

Sulcata tortoises need a spacious outdoor enclosure that provides a secure and safe environment for them to live and thrive. The pen should be at least 12 feet by 8 feet, with a minimum height of 2 feet, to provide enough space for the tortoise to move around and exercise. The pen should have a sturdy fence that is buried at least 12 inches underground to prevent the tortoise from digging under it. The fence should be made of sturdy materials that are not easily destroyed or climbed over by the tortoise. In most cases it is necessary to sink Rebar next to the fences to prevent digging out I place the bars about 12" apart for Adults

Aldabras grow slower in their natural country of Origin Aldabras are older for their size in Mauritius then they are in the USA Not all 29" Aldabras are the same, an Aldabra raised here in the US is larger and much younger. Importing females has proven in the past to be the most likely to produce over their US counterparts. I purchased her a few years ago for $42,000 and she was $15, just for shipping total all in $57,000 I am offering her now in this winter because i have to sell something in the winter to keep cash flow moving I am offering Her $59,000 That price will probably go up in the spring when sales start to kick in with better weather and tax returns This is a great time and age to acquire her before she skyrockets because of the breeding potential
